The question often arises as to residents of Payson, Arizona or the surrounding areas can join Chaparral Pines or The Rim Golf Club if they do not live within the gates. The answer is “Yes!”, there is no residency requirement to join these two clubs and there are many membership options available. These include dining only, recreational, and golf memberships.
Chaparral Pines and the Rim Golf Club are located on the east side of Payson and contain two golf courses that are among the best in the state. Chaparral Pines has the Trailhead Park recreational facility which contains a fitness center, two pools with a slide, jacuzzi, large playground, sports field, dog park, tennis courts, sand volleyball, and a variety of classes and community activities available. The Rim Golf Club has The Mountain Spa which has spa services available, a fitness center, pool, jacuzzi, and tennis courts.
Both communities also have large clubhouse facilities to host events, and each has its own great restaurant that members receive access to. Be aware that Chaparral Pines and The Rim Golf Club are private, gated communities and you are not able to tour them unaccompanied.
